Staff receive training on de-escalation techniques, but in the heat of the moment, it’s easy for forget them. This ‘cheat sheet’ is a quick reminder about some very basic principles of relating to a person who happens to be in crisis.

This one-page .pdf can be downloaded and put on a bulletin board, added to the posted resources at a nursing station or detox office, or used as a handout for an inservice training.
